SAP CALCULATIONS FOR EXTENSIONS

Modern living means we want a constant visual connection with the outdoors. This is often achieved by large expanses of glass whether in the walls or in the roof.

If you are constructing an extension that has in excess of 25% of the floor area as glazing then calculations must be provided to Building Control to demonstrate compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations. This is because glazing has a lower thermal performance when compared with other building elements.

At Oakland Energy we can provide the required SAP Calculations to ensure compliance is achieved. This will include any recommendations needed on improving the existing dwelling or the fabric of the new extension.

We won’t bore you with the technical jargon on U Values, DER/TER CO² emissions (unless you want to know of course!) just leave it to Oakland Energy to get you calculated and ready to build.
